O premio da Academia á mellor maquillaxe é un dos premios Óscar que se entrega ós directores polo seu traballo na industria cinematográfica pola Academia das Artes e das Ciencias Cinematográficas de Hollywood. Desde 2012 o nome do premio é Premio da Academia á Mellor Maquillaxe e Peiteado.

A categoría foi creada como competitiva en 1981, despois das críticas á Academia por non premiar o traballo de maquillaxe de The Elephant Man (1980).

O maquillador Rick Baker é o máis premiado (7) e o que máis candidaturas recibiu (11).
