Soul Asylum
Soul Asylum é unha banda estadounidense de rock alternativo formada en Minneapolis, Minnesota no ano 1983. O grupo fundouse orixinalmente en 1981 co nome Loud Fast Rules, coa formación orixinal composta por Dan Murphy, Dave Pirner, Karl Mueller e Pat Morley. O último foi substituído por Grant Young en 1984.

A banda gravou tres álbums co selo Twin/Tone Records e dous con A&M Records con pouco éxito comercial. Porén, en 1992, publicaron o álbum que chegaría a ser triplo platino Grave Dancers Union, que contiña a canción premiada cun Grammy "Runaway Train". Soul Asylum tamén tería un disco de platino con Let Your Dim Light Shine tres anos despois.
