John Bengtson

John D. Bengtson é un investigador de Lingüística histórica e antropolóxica . Foi presidente e actualmente é vicepresidente da Association for the Study of Language in Prehistory (Asociación para o Estudo da Língua na Prehistoria), foi tamén editor da revista Mother Tongue (1996-2003). As áreas en que está especializado inclúen lingüística escandinava, Lingüística do Indoeuropeo, línguas africanas, línguas Dené-Caucasiano e máis paleolinguística (o estudo da Prehistoria através dos datos linguísticos).
