Cada territorio ten un gobernador elixido polo monarca do Reino Unido, que traballa como representante do «Goberno da súa Maxestade». Os gobernadores encárganse e teñen o poder da [[seguridade]] no territorio e da representación entre o territorio e o [[Goberno Británico]]; tamén disolven a [[lexislatura]] e actúan para facer cumprir as [[lei]]s, dependendo do nivel de poder adoitan ser máis simbólicos ou teñen maior relevancia. Todos os gobernadores adoitan proceder do Reino Unido.
