Russian_schooner_Zarya,_1910.jpg(520 × 544 píxeles; tamaño do ficheiro: 85 kB; tipo MIME: image/jpeg)

Photo of a Russian schooner Zarya (Заря) from 1910. The ship (originally Norwegian Harald Harfager) was bought in 1899 by the Russian Academy of Sciences, rebuilt to fit polar conditions and during 1900-02 set to an expedition to the Arctic (led by Eduard Toll). Later, it was perpetually moored in the mouth of river Lena. It is not to be mistaken with the 1953 Soviet scientific vessel of the same name.

Details on the ship are on [1][link morto] (in Russian, website of a museum in city Polarnyi).

Photo copied from Russian Wiki: [2], where it is PD-old.
