Mae pont reilffordd Abermaw, sy'n cludo Rheilffordd Arfordir Cymru dros Afon Mawddach, sydd hefyd yn bont droed, yn un o bontydd pren hiraf gwledydd Prydain. Cafodd y coed ei fygwth gan bry genwair toredo ond fe'i adferwyd, gan alluogi'r trenu i fynd hyd at Pwllheli.

A large railway bridge crosses the river near the town. The Barmouth railway bridge, which carries the Welsh Coast Line over the River Mawddach, which is also a footbridge, is one of the longest wooden bridges in the countries of Britain.
