Français : L'emblème actuel de l'Algérie se présente sous la forme d'un disque comportant à l'extérieur l'inscription suivante, « الجمهورية الجزائرية الديمقراطية الشعبية » en langue arabe : « République algérienne démocratique et populaire ». Et à l'intérieur les symboles suivants : en haut, le soleil se levant sur une montagne, au centre, une main d'orfèvrerie symétrique autour du majeur, les trois doigts centraux unis, les deux doigts des extrémités terminés en bec de colombe portant un rameau d’olivier, en bas, le croissant et l’étoile, à droite, l'urne électorale surmontée de trois épis différenciés et de feuilles de chêne, à gauche, une branche d'olivier avec fruits, superposée d’une palme et surmontée de toits et de cheminées d’usine et de derricks de forage pétroliers.
العربية: يُعتبرُ شعار الجزائر الشِّعَار الرَّسمِي للدولة الجزائرية، يتكون من شمس تشرق من وراء الجبال، من الوسط : يدٌ مصوغة متناظرة حول الأصبع الوسطى، تكون الأصابع المركزية الثلاث منها مجتمعة، بينما يتخذ أصبعا الأطراف شكل منقار حمامة يحمل غصن زيتون، من الأسفل: الهلال والنجمة، وإلى اليمين صندوق الاقتراع تعلوه ثلاث سنابل مفرّقة وأوراق بلوط، على اليسار: غصن زيتون يحمل ثماراً، يكون متراكبا مع سعفة نخيل وتعلوه سقوف ومداخن مصانع وهيكل للتنقيب عن البترول.
English: The emblem of Algeria is considered the official emblem of the Algerian state. It consists of a sun rising from behind the mountains. From the middle: a forged hand symmetrical around the middle finger, the three central fingers of which are together, while the two fingers of the extremities take the shape of the beak of a dove carrying an olive branch. From the bottom: the crescent and the star. To the right is the ballot box, surmounted by three split ears and oak leaves. On the left: an olive branch bearing fruits, superimposed with a palm frond, and surmounted by the roofs and chimneys of factories and a structure for oil exploration. |

This Algerian photograph or work of applied art, which was published prior to 1974, is currently in the public domain in Algeria because its 50-year term of protection has expired pursuant to the provisions of Article 59 of Ordinance No. 03-05 of 19 July 2003, which was approved by Law No. 03-17 of 4 November 2003 (details).
In order to be hosted on Commons, all works must be in the public domain in the United States as well as in their source country. The copyright of all Algerian photographs and works of applied art published prior to 1948 had expired in Algeria on the date of restoration (April 19, 1998) pursuant to the provisions of Article 60 of the defunct Ordinance No. 97-10 of 6 March 1997 which was in effect at the time. Such works are thus currently in the public domain in the United States. |
