Samarcanda goza dun [[clima mediterráneo]] ([[Clasificación climática de Köppen]] ''Csa'') que se abeira a un [[clima semirárido]] con veráns quentes e secos e invernos relativamente húmidos e variables que alternan períodos cálidos con outros fríos. Os meses de xullo e agosto son os máis quentes do ano, con temperaturas que chegan e mesmo superan os 40ºC. A maioría das precipitacións recóllense de decembro a abril.
