O Dorneda pasou a maior parte da súa traxectoria como entidade deportiva en categorías comarcais. A partir de [[2005]] comeza unha progresión que o leva de [[Terceira Autonómica de Galicia|Terceira Autonómica]] a xogar a promoción de ascenso a [[Terceira División Española|Terceira]] en só catro temporadas (promoción onde caeu derrotado polo [[Club Deportivo Choco|Choco]]).
