Angelic Upstarts
Angelic Upstarts é unha banda de punk rock anti-fascista, anti-policial e defensora da clase obreira. Os "Upstarts" (como son chamados a miúdo) foron formados en South Shields, no nordeste de Inglaterra en 1977.
Os compoñentes orixinais eran Mensi (voz), Mond (guitarra), Steve Forsten (baixo) e Decca Wade (batería). A banda reformouse e dividiuse en varias ocasións ó longo dos anos, e algúns dos exmembros son os baixistas Ronnie Wooden, Glyn Warren, Tony Feedback, Ronnie Rocker e Max Splodge, quen tamén tocaba a batería de forma restrixida. Outros baterías foron Sticks (quen máis tarde uniuse a The Cockney Rejects), Paul Thompson (ex Roxy Music) e Chris White. Decca Wade volveu á banda por algúns anos para volvela deixar despois.
Brian Hayes orixinalmente unírase como segundo guitarrista, ata que Mond se foi, deixando só a Brian. Mensi é o único membro orixinal que aínda está no grupo.
